HAPBWA FOUNDATION: Swearing In Of The Board Of Directors 2023-2027

April 18, 2023 | Orlando, FL - HAPBWA FOUNDATION, a non-profit sister organization of the Hispanic American Professional & Business Women's Association (HAPBWA), is excited to announce the swearing-in of its new board of directors. The event will take place on Friday, April 21, from 11am - 2pm EDT at the Girl Scouts of Citrus located at 341 North Mills Avenue in Orlando, FL (Tickets available here on Eventbrite).

HAPBWA FOUNDATION has been serving Hispanic American professionals and businesswomen since its establishment in 2010. This year, the foundation is launching new branding, a new website, and other initiatives. As part of its celebration, the foundation is teaming up with the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council to support their mission.


"We are excited to celebrate our new board of directors as we launch our new branding and website," said Deisamar De Soto-Torres new president of HAPBWA Foundation. "We are also thrilled to support the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, which does incredible work empowering young women."

The new board of directors includes:

  • President – Deisamar De Soto-Torres

  • VP – Eva Pagan

  • Secretary – Maria Judith Sanchez

  • Treasury – Zoraida Hernandez

  • Directors: Marta Vargas, Mercedes Caballero, Rosa Ruiz

  • Mentors: Carmen Velazquez, Maritza Beltran, Nancy Sharifi

The event will feature speakers such as Nina Wilson from the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, Zoraida Velasco, and both past and new presidents of HAPBWA FOUNDATION. The program will also include lunch and networking opportunities.
